Walking & Nature Reserves
Having one of the longest coastlines in the UK there are lots of places to walk and enjoy nature in the East of England.
It’s beaches are the obvious place to head for a walk - and all Seaside Resorts have good beaches attached. However, some of the nicest walking is to be found at the East of England’s Wild Beaches.
Standout long-distance walking paths include the Norfolk Coast Path, the Peddars Way and the Suffolk Coast Path.
Inland, there are extensive forests and parkland waiting to be explored, with plenty of Nature Reserves to explore. For shorter walks and strolls see the Stately Homes, Parks & Gardens too.
The Norfolk Broads provide boating and walking opportunities around the inland broads.
Most areas are accessible by both car and public transport.
Entry fees may be payable at some places like Pensthorpe.
The majority of nature reserves are free to enter, although some operated by organisations like the National Trust or RSPB may incurr an entry charge.
