Historic woodland, ideal for walking
A medieval royal hunting forest it is home to over 3,500 species of wildlife and ancient trees, some of which are over 1,000 years old.
Lots of walking trails, a place to stroll and explore or just somewhere to let children run off steam offering a wonderful outdoor experience all year round.
In winter, cars are only allowed to use the hard standing areas. Some of the trails include boardwalks.
Visitor hub, Cafe and toilets on site.
Childrens activities often held during holiday periods. Nearest train station is Stanstead Airport, and then a 30 minute walk. Accessible by car via the M11 or A120.
