A volunteer run, working museum focusing on railway preservation within the Eastern Counties of England.
Take a ride on trains, explore engine sheds, signal boxes and museum.
Some special events held such as a 1940’s steam event complete with themed market.
The railway is a rural location, near the villages of Chappel and Wakes Colne.
Access via the A1124 Colchester -Halstead road, near the A12. Free parking on site.
Access by rail is possible via Greater Anglia trains to Sudbury and Marks Tey with regular connecitons to London, Colchester and Ipswich
Open weekends, Bank Holidays and Wednesdays.
