Leighton Buzzard Railway
Narrow gage vintage railway with events for kids
Take a ride into the past on the volunteer operated Leighton Buzzard Light Railway, travelling on a narrow gauge line used originally by industrial trains.
A 3 mile route, it winds round steep curves, up steep gradients and through the countryside passing Britain’s largest onshore wind turbine.
The round trip lasts 85 minutes using steam hauled trains.
Journeys start from Page’s Park station (this entry’s map location) on the southern side of the town.
Special events often held such as santa specials and a dinosaur day!
Free tours of the Engine shed, watch quarry digger displays and see the miniature railway.
Refreshments and free parking on site.
Located approximately 40 miles north of London; access via the M1 or A5. Follow the brown steam train signs.
Leighton Buzzard is on the mainline rail route from London Euston.
Charges for train travel.
