Gressenhall

Victorian workhouse life

Gressenhall Museum and Farm is a unique site where you explore what life was like within a Victorian workhouse.

Discover the stories of people who had no choice but to live here, how families were separated, the work they had to do, see a Victorian schoolroom and stroll round a Victorian farm.

Take a ride in a cart pulled by Suffolk Punch horses, and explore a museum about the rural life of Norfolk.

Children can play in the adventure playground and you can enjoy a walk through the fields. Special events are held from time to time - check the website for more details.
