Itineraries

[ H ] Rob Hain - Welcome to Edinburgh

With a seemingly unending number of hidden corners to explore, Edinburgh is a great place to just wander fairly aimlessly; but following these three itineraries should help you make the most of your time.

Day 1

The Old Town-In-A-Day itinerary is probably the most essential. It focuses on medieval Edinburgh and the city’s biggest sights.

Day 2

The New Town-In-A-Day itinerary leaves tourist Edinburgh for the city's elegant business district.

Day 3

A third itinerary – the Water-of-Leith Wander – heads just north of the city centre to walk an attractive riverside path between pretty neighborhoods and a couple of other outdoor attractions. Do this itinerary on the day with the best forecast, as much of it is outdoors.
