Old Town Cafes & Pubs

Theatre Royal Pub

At night, some of the Old Town's busiest cafes and pubs line the Grassmarket – a large European-style plaza complete with cafes and pleasant pavement seating.

Later on clubs erupt along the adjacent Cowgate, a road closed to traffic at night to make stumbling around drunk that bit safer.

Other spots worth seeking out are not as obvious and include two small folk music pubs: Sandy Bells and The Royal Oak.
