Telliskivi Creative City
Just north of the Old Town, squeezed between a triangle of railway tracks, Telliskivi Creative City (Loomelinnak) is a former railway works reinvented as a cultural and nightlife hub.
Numerous design studios and creative industries have moved in here since its inception in 2009, to be joined by a clutch of shops, galleries, bars, cafés and restaurants. Many of the latter are the kind of quirky innovative businesses that would not find an affordable home in the increasingly twee and tourist-dominated Old Town.
Consequently Telliskivi isn’t just popular with an alternative-leaning crowd, but also ordinary Tallinners who want somewhere they can go out and experience a concentration of good food and characterful bars.
