Põhjala Tap Room, Tallinn
Award-winning ales (l, d; €€)
Founded in 2011, craft brewery Põhjala has become something of an Estonian trademark in recent years, exporting its flavoursome, innovative and highly-prized ales all over the world.
What better way to sample their range than visit the Põhjala Tap Room, a post-industrial space in the fast-developing Noblessner quarter northeast of the Old Town. With Põhjala’s own IPAs and barrel-aged stouts on tap, together with a selection of guest brews, there’s a lot to sup your way through.
It’s also an enjoyable eating-out venue, with a BBQ-based menu featuring ribs, sausages, burgers, and snack-platters for sharing.
