Corsica’s Cap Corse In-a-Day

Corsica’s Cap from Bastia to St-Florent

Cap Corse

Cap Corse is the peninsula which protrudes into the Ligurian Sea from the north of Corsica and points like a finger towards Italy. 40km/25m long with a narrow spine of mountains running along the centre which are ideal for cycling and walking the many trails, including the legendary Sentier des Douaniers, or maybe just a leisurely drive.

I’ve proposed just such a leisurely drive for this Itinerary starting from Bastia in the morning heading to the north coast through some glorious coastal scenery and back down past stunning perched villages and black beaches to St-Florent during the late afternoon. It can of course be done the other way round but either way the roads are not conducive to speedy tourism and it usually takes a while to get anywhere!
