Golfe du Morbihan

Golfe de Morbihan

The Golfe du Morbihan is a beautiful inland sea just south of Vannes in the South East of Brittany. Sheltered from the Bay of Biscay on all sides by land the Gulf is 5km wide and 21 km long and dotted with forty islands.

A member of the Most Beautiful Bays in the World Club it is also a Regional Nature Park and home to many species of birds.

Pointe d’Arradon or Arradon Point in the Gulf of M

The Gulf’s suburb location and microclimate make it an ideal place to spend a vacation. Not only is it a beautiful tranquil place but there are a variety of facilities for water sports including sailing, birdwatching, fishing walking and much more.

Many visitors choose to take a boat trip around the Gulf and let the captain take the strain - why not? They know all the best places and views, not to mention where to stop for lunch so if you have time do it!

Nearby you can visit the fascinating old towns of Vannes and Auray or check out Les Alignements at Carnac.
