Six Top Alsatian Villages

Alsace Wine Village

There are several charming villages in the Alsace mostly associated with the Region’s wine route all splendidly adorned with their flower-decked half-timbered frontages, opportunities for wine tasting or degustation, medieval architecture and charming fountains. I have selected six, three of which are members of Les Plus Beaux Villages de France so you certainly won’t be disappointed!

Eguisheim

Eguisheim

All six villages are located around Colmar which makes a good base for visiting them. Starting 4.4m/7km to the south of Colmar is Eguisheim with its cobbled streets and brightly coloured timber framed houses it is unsurprisingly one of the Plus Beaux Villages mentioned earlier.
