France’s grape harvest or vendenge in the wine producing regions takes place in September. Most wine producers welcome help with grape picking and wine tasing opportunities and celebrations are available throughout the Bordeaux, Burgundy, Alsace, Champagne and Provence regions.

The Montmartre Grape Harvest Festival takes place in Montmartre in Paris during October celebrating the local vineyards with wine tastings, parades, concert and traditional dances. A little later here due to the more northerly latitude but just as worthwhile!
