city’super

Hong Kong's largest international food emporium

Food markets and grocery stores can tell you a lot about the local lifestyle, and what city’super has to say is that Hongkongers love foods from around the world. What might best be described as a giant food department store, city’super has not only the usual food, drinks and condiments, but it also carries a vast array of imported foodstuffs you won’t find anywhere else in Hong Kong.

It offers biscuits from England, Canadian urchins in season, Iberico pork from Spain and much more, but it’s especially well stocked on Japanese products, from curry rice and sake to green tea and noodles. It also sells a varied selection of Chinese teas, including so-called blossom teas, which feature buds that open like flowers when immersed in hot water and which make good gifts for tea drinkers back home. City’super also has prepared foods, which you could package up and enjoy back in your hotel room or in nearby Kowloon Park.
