Heritage Discovery Centre
Highlighting architectural & archaeological gems
Located in Kowloon Park, the building housing this museum served as barracks to British troops from 1910 right up until 1967. It now houses exhibits devoted to historic preservation throughout Hong Kong, focusing on cultural heritage presented by architecture and archaeological finds.
The ground floor shows changing exhibits, while one floor up is the permanent collection highlighting both Chinese, colonial and modern architecture, along with artifacts, photographs and models. You can see it all in less than 30 minutes, and as a bonus, there’s free Wi-Fi and a pleasant courtyard.
