Sky Terrace 428

360-degree views of Hong Kong from The Peak

At 1,400 ft/428m above sea level, the rooftop Sky Terrace 428 atop Peak Tower offers one of the best city views in the world. People flock here day and night to take in the 360-degree views of Central’s skyscrapers, Kowloon Peninsula with its ever-growing waterfront and distant mountains, Victoria Harbour and, on the other side of Hong Kong Island, the South China Sea.

After feasting your eyes on the view, be sure to take a look at the observation platform’s Sky Gallery, panels describing Hong Kong’s history through words and photographs.

It goes without saying that if it’s raining, hazy or foggy you’ll want to skip this. Personally, I find Sky Terrace 428 expensive for Hong Kong and though not as dramatic, there are other vantage points on The Peak. Still, if the weather is glorious, this is a wonderful spot. And because it offers free Wi-Fi, you can send selfies to all your Facebook friends.
