The Peak

Hong Kong's Top Attraction – Literally!

Virtually every tourist in Hong Kong wants to go to Victoria Peak, known locally as The Peak, and with good reason.

Getting there, on the Peak Tram, is part of the fun and a slice of Peak history. Once you arrive, there’s the Peak Tower with its souvenir shops, restaurants, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, and Sky Terrace observation deck. Next door is the Peak Galleria with shops and restaurants, as well as the free Green Terrace with views over Central.

But of course, what you’re really coming for is its million-dollar view, one of the best city views in the world. Although Victoria Peak, Hong Kong Island’s tallest mountain, is 1,811 ft/552m high, its actual peak contains telecommunication towers and is closed to the public. Still, views from various spots around The Peak are spectacular.
