Broad Ripple Village

Canal charm

Broad Ripple Ice Cream Station

Ever since the late 60s when it was the place for counter-culture shopping, Broad Ripple Village on the north side of Indianapolis, which parallels the old canal, has been on the forefront of trendy and hip eating, shopping, and hanging out.

Stop at the charming petitechoubistro.com by Patachou known for their French food and sinful chocolate drinks. Oh and don't forget their Champagne Bar.

publicgreensurbankitchen.com, located along the Monon Trail and is one of several in the Patchou restaurant group. Operating as a non-profit, proceeds go to feeding the city's less fortunate youth. The microgardens outside the restaurant are used in its kitchens.

Check out www.facebook.com/marigoldclothing/ for stylish couture. corkandcracker.com/ has an inventory of 500 wines and beers with more than 350 under $20. www.bikethemonon.com, named to the Rail-Trail Hall of Fame, runs through the heart of Broad Ripple.
