Outside Downtown

Newfields

Beyond it’s Downtown, Indy is a patch quilt of fascinating and unique neighborhoods. The biggest attractions have their own sections below, but there are many others too, including:

Gardens

Many of the main attractions outside the centre of Indiana are parks or gardens and include the Garfield Park Conservatory to the south, which is home to 500 tropical plants, a 15-foot waterfall and Sunken Gardens this is the perfect spot for avid gardeners.

Meanwhile, Eaglecreek Park is one of the largest municipal parks in the country and offers a beach, hiking trails, kayaking and a zipline course.

Riverdale located on the former estate of James Allyson has the largest and most intact Jens Jensen gardens in the U.S. The formal garden area is known as Riverdale and is a spectacular place to visit no matter the time of the year.
