Campo del Moro
Tranquil oasis in the shadow of the royal palace

One of Madrid's best kept secrets, the Campo de Moro is one of the city's most enticing open spaces.
So named because it was the site of an encampment when the Moors tried to capture the city in the twelfth century, the Campo de Moro is criss-crossed with shady paths, decorated with two stunning monumental fountains and enjoys some fantastic views up towards the royal palace.
