Kosybar
Stylish bar & fusion restaurant (l,d; $$–$$$)
Kosybar is a cool bar and fusion restaurant with a downstairs bar, middle-floor dining room, and two terraces overlooking Place des Ferblantiers.
Kosybar has a double menu. At lunchtime, they tend to offer lighter options, with a 149dh set menu. They also do a tajine of the day (85dh), and a few sushi combos (they have a Japanese chef), including a vegetarian one, which is probably a better bet this far from the coast.
Their evening dinner menu is more substantial, including an assortment of fish dishes and tajines. This is also a good place to try some local wine with your meal, as they have good connections for Moroccan wines. Food prices are quite high however, with most main dishes at 170–200dh.
Kosybar is a good place to go for an evening drink. The downstairs bar lives up to its name, and it isn’t too pretentious. The salon sometimes has modern live music. But the terrace is the best place for a sundowner, perfect for watching the sun set over the Medina. Price-wise, wine is a better deal here than beer, but cocktails tend more to match the mood.
