Southern Medina
The Southern Medina is a little quieter than the Northern Medina.
From the Jemaa el Fna, two roads - Rue Riad Zitoun el Jedid, and Rue Riad Zitoun el Kedim - both lead to the southern part of the Medina.
Sights
The top sights in the southern half of the Medina are: the expansive, majestic ruins of El Badi Palace, the exquisite Saadian Tombs and the 19th-century Bahia Palace, with its wonderfully worked interiors.
Districts
The Southern Media also contains two interesting districts: The Mellah, a former Jewish quarter, and the Kasbah, or citadel. Beyond the Kasbah are the sprawling Agdal Gardens.
