Southern Medina Sights
The Southern Medina's main sights are:
The Kasbah
The Saadian Tombs are in the Kasbah (walled citadel area), which has other interesting things to see, most notably Bab Agnaou, Marralkesh's most impressive city gate, and the Kasbah Mosque.
The Mellah
El Badi Palace lies on the edge of the Mellah (former Jewish quarter), which has other interesting things to see, most notably the Lazama Synagogue and the venerable Miâara Jewish Cemetery.
Riad Zitoun el Jedid
Lying just north of the Mellah, the other area in the southern Medina with a number of sights in it is Riad Zitoun el Jedid, where the Bahia Palace is located.
A couple of interesting sights lie close by: a carpet and textile museum at Maison Tiskiwin; and Dar Si Said, a museum on historic trans-Saharan caravans.
