Medina Bars

Kosybar's cosy bar

The Medina has only a handful of bars.

At one time, drinking spots were banned altogether in the Medina, and confined to the Ville Nouvelle. That's been relaxed in recent years, but bars are still thin on the ground within the city walls.

Upmarket hotels such as the Mamounia and the Maison Arabe have bars, so do some riads (the bar at Noire d'Ivoire is particularly good).

The pnly low-priced Medina bar is at the Grand Hotel Tazi, which is a good place for a beer or two.

Otherwise, some restaurants such as the Café Arabe and Kosybar double as cocktail bars.

Café Arabe

Grand Hotel Tazi

Kosybar
