The City Walls & Around

The Bab Doukkala Mosque is on the way to the Bab Doukkala city gate, near the bus station. Other gates include Bab el Khemis, at the Medina's northern end, with its flea market, and Bab Debbagh to the east, by the city's stinky tanneries. No longer a gate in the city wall as it once was, Bab Taghzout marked the Medina's northern limit until the eighteenth century.

A dedicated City Walls section explores the entire length of these fortifications.
