Accommodation
Mexico City has a great range of accommodations, with the market split by Budget; Mid-Range; and Top-End below.
Location
Location is everything in sprawling Mexico City. Though the city is well-served by public transportation, for convenience most visitors opt to stay in Centro Histórico, Condesa, Roma or Juárez, all of which are central and easily walkable.
If nightlife is important to you, then lodgings in the trendy Condesa or Roma neighborhoods will serve you best.
For a low-key vibe head for the southern neighborhoods of Coyoacán and San Ángel, former villages known for their crafts and cultural offerings.
Booking
Book in advance to find the best deals. Some top-end hotels offer discounted rates on weekends. Hotel rooms may be slightly higher in September and December.
