Transport

Turibus 1

The fast-paced capital keeps you on the go with its affordable and efficient public transportation system. If possible, avoid the packed Metro at peak hours.

App-based ride-hailing services such as Uber and DiDi are safe and convenient options for getting around town, as are bicycles in some of the city’s traffic-choked areas.

Turibus operates numerous bus circuits visiting the city’s top sights and its day passes allow you to hop on and hop off anywhere you like.

Most visitors will fly into Aeropuerto Internacional Benito Juárez (AICM), which should not be confused with Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Ángeles (AIFA), a smaller airport in the northern metropolitan area offering mostly domestic flights. Though harder to reach than AICM, you’ll likely find lower fares when flying out of AIFA.
