Monumento a la Revolución
Monument to the Mexican Revolution
Originally planned as a legislative palace, this structure was later converted into an emblematic domed arch dedicated to the heroes of the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920).
A mausoleum holds the remains of several prominent revolutionaries such as Pancho Villa. A glass elevator zips you up to an observation deck, while in the basement you’ll find art exhibits among the structure’s massive steel beams.
There’s also the Museo Nacional de la Revolución, a small history museum.
