NEIGHBOURHOODS
With more than 21 million people calling the greater Mexico City area home, the capital is the largest and most populous metropolis in the nation. It consists of 16 boroughs, each with their own unique character and vibe. Most visitors gravitate toward centrally located neighborhoods such as Condesa and Roma, the Centro Histórico and Alameda Central and usually spend some time museum-hopping in Chapultepec Park. Worthwhile hoods in the south include Coyoacán, Xochimilco and San Ángel.
