Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen Myrtle Beach

Southern Style (b,l,d; $$)

Paula Deen opened her new restaurant in mid-June 2017 in Myrtle Beach at Broadway at the Beach. It’s huge, and you can’t miss it. Step into the first floor gift shop where you’ll see a replica of Paula Deen’s TV kitchen. Check in for the restaurant which is accessed via an escalator and offers tiered seating overlooking the lake.

Think about Southern fried, home cooked, catfish or chicken, maybe chicken pot pie and much more with plenty of butter. It’s classic southern cooking such as chicken and waffles for breakfast, fried chicken for lunch or dinner and her famed ooey gooey butter cake anytime at all. It’s served family-style if you choose an entree which means bowls of food placed on the table for passing to share. No one leaves here hungry.

The chili aioli dipping sauce for the fried okra or the red pepper sauce for the fried green tomatoes set these dishes apart from any other restaurant’s tries at the same appetizers.
