Weddings
Weddings are big business at the beach. Thousands of brides each year choose this as a magical destination for the big day, whether with a simple and private ceremony or an elaborate and costly production.
Beach, chapel or church?
Many beaches and public parks offer waterfront or other outdoor settings for a beautiful romantic event. (Plan B is always a good idea, as the wind or rain can be a surprise.) Wedding chapels are also available, and hundreds of churches welcome guest weddings.

A commercially produced event is not allowed on the beach or in certain parks in Myrtle Beach. Reservations or a permit may be required in other locations. It’s a good idea to check for any rules or restrictions which may vary from one city or site to another.
Notaries or ministsers can legally perform weddings. Wedding planners or coordinators can assist with details; and caterers, florists, musicians, photographers and banquet venues abound. Bridal suites are offered in at least a hundred of the major hotels.
