Shops & Shopping
Myrtle Beach, a family-friendly beach destination catering primarily to middle-class visitors, has lots of shopping venues. International visitors are amazed by Myrtle Beach shopping opportunities and outlet prices. Sometimes they purchase entire wardrobes (and luggage to get it home).
Shopping is great year-round, but winter weekends offer thin crowds and little traffic. Watch for tax-free shopping days, often in August before most public schools open.
Outlet and mall shopping is plentiful.
Market Common, an urban village community complex, features upscale shopping.
Barefoot Landing, along the Intracoastal Waterway, is a major shopping, dining and entertainment complex in North Myrtle Beach.
Broadway at the Beach, another complex with attractions, dining and entertainment, also has more than 100 specialty shops likely to change from one visit to the next.
