Arrowtown
Arrowtown, only 20km northeast of Queenstown, is a delight. First settled when gold was discovered in the Arrow River in the early 1860s, it is now a charming place, the pride of many who choose to live there.
The main street boasts attractive shops and cafes in historic buildings, while short walks down by the Arrow River attract many, especially when autumn comes around.
While it’s easiest to get here with your own wheels, it’s also possible to come on Queenstown’s Orbus Bus network.
