Te Ara Hura Day Walk

Walk the western end of Waiheke Island (3hrs)

While the full network of trails covers 100km on the island, we suggest a 3hr, 11km walk starting at the Ferry Terminal, where there is an information stand with free walk maps, and walking on as far as Palm Beach.

Along the way you’ll pass Owhanake Bay, Oneroa Bay, Little Oneroa Beach, Enclosure Bay and finish up at Palm Beach, where you can take a dip before catching the bus back from outside the shop.

This section of the trail has easy access with public transportation and takes in a mix of beaches, bush, headlands and roads.
