Pubs & Bars

August 8th 2011

This app is a very long way from being a pub guide to Scotland's 5000 pubs, but the few good pubs and bars have been gathered below.

Most are Edinburgh Pubs & Bars, as most Scotland trips will spend at least a couple of nights in the capital.

Otherwise three Highland pubs to go out of your way for are included below.

Edinburgh Pubs & Bars

Ben Nevis Inn (Fort William)

Cosy pub & bunkhouse in an old barn (l,d; ££)

Kingshouse Hotel (Glencoe)

Remote, but easily accessible 17th-century inn (b,l,d; £ & ££)

Old Bridge Inn (Aviemore)

Lovely traditional pub on the banks of the Spey (l,d; ££)
