Rock Stop & West Highlands GeoPark
Visitor centre & cafe (£)
Serving as the visitor information centre for the West Highland GeoPark, the Rock Stop is always worth a stop.
GeoPark (a UNESCO designation) covers some 2000 square km (770 sq miles) and exists thanks to the area’s special geology, which includes some of Europe’s oldest rocks.
The Rock Stop has a good little free exhibition explaining all this; info on key local destinations; and a good little cafe which stretches to light lunches.
