Great vegetarian, vegan food selection (b Fri,Sat only, l; £)

A café and deli with a surprisingly wide selection of freshly-prepared food and inventive, delicious cakes, all made in-house. All food is vegetarian, with a wide selection of vegan items.

Takeaway, daytime café and restaurant (in summer with seating in a courtyard, too). They also serve a variety of breakfasts.

Lunchtime menu consists of light meals, wraps and specials include soups and quiche of the day. Changing selection, based on produce currently available, thoughtfully put together. Mushroom burgers are a lunch speciality, but each Monday is burger day with a different vegetarian/vegan option.

Variety of breakfast options available 9.30am-noon (Friday, Saturday only) .

Convenient takeaway items throughout the day, good for picnics (eg in nearby Dean's Park, behind the minster.)

To go with the home-baked cakes, there's fresh tea, tisanes or good coffee.

TIP Check the website for occasional evening events, such as music.
