Parks & Gardens

23.4.16 1 York 32

York's larger parks are beyond the city walls. For visitors spending their time in the city centre, Museum Gardens (Station Area) and the smaller Dean's Park (Minster Area) provide pleasant places for a picnic.

In the Castle Area, the gardens alont the River Ouse, across from Clifford’s Tower, offer a nice place to start a riverside stroll.

Outside the city centre, the fields around the Knavesmire are popular for sports and jogging.
