South Cornwall

Eden Project 130419 284

South Cornwall surges west along the coast, from Fowey to Falmouth, taking in some of the county’s most memorable sights. It’s a delightful landscape, where farmland frames fishing villages and the deep inlets of winding creeks.

In the east, pretty Fowey and Polruan deliver boat trips and picture-postcard views. Next the Eden Project wows visitors with its vast greenhouses and powerful eco-vision.

Historic Cornwall reemerges with the Georgian port and heritage ships of Charlestown, and the mazy lanes of Mevagissey. Just inland, the Lost Gardens of Heilgan showcase the gardens, and the gardeners, of a once-forgotten past.

Lost Gardens of Heligan

The quiet beaches and rural views of the often-overlooked Roseland Peninsula come next. Then there’s buzzing Falmouth, A beach resort, cultural haven and busy port, it’s also the springboard for the landscaped parklands of Trelissick, and the bewitching subtropical gardens at Trebah.
