Outdoors

River Dordogne

The Dordogne and Quercy are really 'outdoorsy' places and exploring usually involves being in the open air much of the time.

As well as some impressive gardens, for example at Marquessac, Dordogne and Quercy can boast several exiting venues including “Le Truffadou”, the Tourist Railway at Martel, and the Parc des Aigles, a bird of prey centre, at Rocamadour.

One of the best ways to see the great French outdoors is to visit one or both of the amazing Regional Nature Parks and there are two excellent examples, one in Dordogne and the other in Quercy. (To find out more about each check out their websites below).
