Rocher des Aigles

Rock of eagles, vultures & falcons

Situated right at the top of the Pilgrimage site of Rocamadour, the Rocher des Aigles, a breeding centre for birds of prey, provides spectacular displays on most days (see below) showing how the birds hunt their prey.

American visitors will enjoy seeing that symbol of their country, the Bald Eagle, in addition to Griffon and Ruppell’s Vultures, Saker Falcons and Capacaras.

Rather like the nearby Forêt des Singes, the Centre protects endangered species and visitor can learn about the various programmes and reintroductions.
