Great Yarmouth
The biggest and brashest coastal resort in East Anglia, Great Yarmouth is very much a typical seaside coastal town.
The main Promenade facing the beach mainly contains fast food, souvenir shops and arcade games areas. Long and wide, the extensive sandy beaches are very child friendly. The sea goes out a long way, so there can be quite a walk to reach the waves! It gets very busy and very crowded throughout the summer, and can be quite noisy due to the vast array of amusement arcades along the promenade.
Attractions
Edging the beach are a variety of attractions such as the Sea Life Centre, Ten Pin Bowling, Merrivale Model Village, Adventure Golf, cafes, seating areas, bouncy castles and a very large fun fair. Horse drawn landau’s take visitors aloong the promenade’s Golden Mile. The Venetian Waterways, ornamental gardens and Boating Lake has recently been restored and special events are sometimes held here.
