Eat & Drink Leith

Takeaway King prawn with cashewnuts from China Palace restaurant, Leith, Edinburgh

Most places to eat in Leith are concentrated in two areas: The Shore, a harbour area beloved of gastropubs and fine dining; and Leith Walk, where a medley of cheap ethnic eateries thrive along the road that leads down to Leith from the Broughton & Calton districts.

Drinking

Leith Walk is also lined with pubs of all stripes, from non-nonsense drinking dens to hipster haunts. The closer you get to Leith the fewer of the latter you'll find.

With plenty of outdoor, harbourside perches, The Shore is among Edinburgh's finest places to drink away a sunny summer afternoon.
