Eat & Drink Old Town

Though gradually overshadowed by other Edinburgh neighbourhoods, The Old Town still maintains a well-rounded dining scene – even if very few are locals' choices.

The main clusters of options are around the Royal Mile, which has everything from gourmet dining at The Witchery by the Castle; to chain restaurants; to the one-room bohemian delights of the vegetarian Baked Potato Shop.

There's another good concentration of, mainly cheaper, options along South Clerk Street @google maps. And don't forget the district's cafes & pubs.
