France has to be one of the best destinations for family holidays. All parts the country are easy to reach due to the excellent transport infrastructure and the variety of accommodation from simple campsites to luxury hotels almost everywhere is amazing.

Virtually the whole coastline of France is blessed with splendid, safe beaches especially in the Vendée, Brittany, Occitanie and the Côte d’Azur.

Disneyland near Paris needs no introduction really but you can spend a couple of days here with children at least and follow up with my Paris in a Day recomendations especially if you include the Eiffel Tower!

Futuroscope The Parc has several 3D cinemas and a few 4D ones which mix fun, magic and the future allowing visitors to enjoy unique experiences such as ‘The Extraordinary Voyage’ based on Jules Verne’s ‘Around the World in 80 days’ and the ‘Space adventure of Thomas Pesquet’.

Most children love Castles and there are plenty of them to see! A good one to see is the Château de Castelnaud in the Dordogne as it has a very gory Museum of Medieval Warfare!
