Sporades
The Sporades group of islands lie in the north west Aegean sea and only four are inhabited.
They’re famous for their monk seal populations and as the film location for Mamma Mia.
Many European charters fly to Skiathos–the main island in the summer months, or several daily connections from Athens.
Ferries depart from Agios Konstantinos port and from Volos Town on the mainland.
There aren’t direct ferry routes to Skiathos from Athens, but you can take a public bus to any of the mainland ports mentioned here.
