Milos
Like Santorini, Milos is covered in a volcanic landscape, the difference being its of the lunar kind–the coastline boasting over 40 different beaches and swimming spots, the most popular and famous being Sarakiniko Beach, Milos.
The Venus de Milos statue–Aphrodite, was discovered in Milos in 1820 and is now housed in the Louvre in Paris.
With rock formations, old pirate cave hideaways and emerald green waters of Kleftiko–only accessible by boat trip–are popular with tourists, as are the fishing villages of Klima and Firopotamos with their colourful boats and traditional colourful houses right on the water’s edge.
Milos’s unique landscape and traditional atmosphere attracts couple and families alike year on year.
