Lane Crawford
Hong Kong's hometown department store
Two Scotsmen by the names of Lane and Crawford opened a shop–actually, it was a bamboo hut–in 1850 on the waterfront of what is now Des Voeux Road in Central. Today, Lane Crawford is synonymous with luxury, offering the best in women’s and men’s clothing, shoes, lingerie, jewelry and home decor from around the world.
Its flagship store, in ifc mall, offers 82,000 sq.ft/7,618 sq m of designer goods and consignment art, making it look more like an art gallery than a store. An outlet in Pacific Place featuring designer collections of furniture, lighting and other decorative accessories is arranged as though it were a luxury apartment. Other outlets can be found in Harbour City and Times Square, with a discount store in Horizon Plaza.
