Riding The East & West Lines

Off the Beaten Track in the New Territories

Most first-time visitors to Hong Kong stick to the major tourist sights on Hong Kong Island and Tsim Sha Tsui, and with good reason. Everyone, after all, should cross Hong Kong’s fabled harbor on the iconic Star Ferry and take the tram to The Peak. But if you’ve already seen the sights in the Tsim Sha Tsui & The Peak in-a-day and Hong Kong Island In-A-day itineraries or are here for more than a couple of days, consider exploring Hong Kong off the beaten track in the New Territories.

Compared to the sights you’ve already seen, it will seem like an altogether different place: Chinese gardens, temples, Hakka walled villages, wetlands and a UNESCO Geopark await!
