Scenery
Scotland's great outdoors are a moody place, and much of its scenery feels forlorn and weather-beaten, but somehow all this melodrama ofen serves to enhance the scene and make those golden moments – a sunny view of Highland mountains; surf curling over a white-sand beach; a rainbow arcing an inky loch – all the more impressive.
The lion's share of the really amazing scenery is certainly in northern Scotland – in the Highlands particularly – but surprisingly almost no region is devoid of at least some beautiful corners.
